What is Spam?
Spam is digital junk mail, meaning it is any unwanted, unwelcome digital communication that is sent in bulk over the internet via email or any electronic messaging systems. Michiganlookup.org has a zero-tolerance spam policy.
Programmed Spam Filtering
Our messaging system scans all emails coming in and other messages, then it filters out messages that look as if they are spam.
Spam Filtering Problems
Since no message filter system is completely accurate, from time to time, authentic messages may be filtered out by our systems. If you think that messages you’ve sent us have been filtered-out before, please find alternative ways to alert us.
To lessen the risk of your messages being filtered out by our message system, you can do any or all of the following:
- Scan your messages for malware before sending
- Send your message in plain text
- Remove any attachments
- Avoid phishing phrases
Receiving unsolicited messages from us
If you happen to receive any messages from us sent through our systems that may be classified as spam, please get in touch with us using the ‘contact us’ page and this will be resolved.
Anti-Spam Policy Changes
We may make changes to this anti-spam policy at any time and will make the new version available on this site.
